My Approach

At the heart of my work is an invitation to come into closer contact with reality, with ourselves, with one another and with the mystery of Being.

I am interested in what happens when we meet our experience with enough openness to discover what is actually here. This includes the stillness and spaciousness of our deeper nature, and the very human terrain of emotion, relationship, conditioning, contradiction, hurt, longing and uncertainty. For me, none of it sits outside the spiritual life.

My own orientation is rooted in nonduality, contemplative inquiry and devotion to the Divine, but I don’t ask anyone to adopt my understanding as their own. What matters is what can be discovered and lived through direct experience.

Foundations of this Work

Presence as Ground
Presence is the ground from which this work unfolds. Before inquiry, understanding or any movement towards change, there is the simple invitation to arrive here and meet what is present. For me, presence is more than a practice of attention; it is the living ground of Being, the space in which experience arises and through which deeper listening becomes possible.

Direct Experience and Truth
Teachings, concepts and spiritual frameworks can point towards something, but I place greatest value on what we can discover for ourselves. I encourage discernment rather than belief: to listen, look closely, stay curious and allow even our spiritual assumptions to be questioned by direct experience.

The Whole of Our Humanity
Grief, fear, anger, shame, tenderness, desire, joy and all the messy contradictions of being alive belong within this work. Our humanity does not stand in the way of awakening. It is where awakening is lived, deepened and embodied.

Embodiment and Integration
Insight and lived reality do not always move at the same pace. I am interested in the meeting place between what we see, what we feel, what we live and what remains unresolved or unknown, allowing what’s discovered to travel more fully into the way we actually inhabit our lives.

The Mystery of Not-Knowing
We do not always need to rush towards explanation, resolution or certainty. Sometimes clarity comes through inquiry, sometimes through the body or heart, sometimes through silence, and sometimes we simply do not know. I trust that space more than I trust premature certainty.

The Heart and Relational Field
The heart is central to my orientation as a way of meeting life with intimacy, honesty and care. Relationship can become a place of deep revelation, where what happens between us and within us is listened to as part of the unfolding itself.

Grace and the Divine
Alongside inquiry and direct experience runs another current through my work: devotion, Grace and the mystery I experience as Divine. Divine Light Transmission, Darshan, prayer, silence and the presence of the Divine Mother are part of this landscape, held with reverence for a mystery I do not pretend to fully understand.

Sovereignty and Discernment
My understanding is never intended to replace your own inner authority. I encourage you to question, listen deeply and return to your own direct seeing, cultivating greater honesty, discernment, responsibility and trust in your own capacity to meet life.

Who This Speaks To

This path is not for everyone, but it is for the ones who recognise themselves here:

  • The weary seeker — tired of striving, ready to rest.
  • The tender soul — feeling too much, carrying wounds or shame, longing to know nothing in you is wrong.
  • The hidden mystic — quietly devoted, yearning for intimacy with the sacred without the weight of dogma.
  • The integration-seeker — touched by awakening, now wondering how to live it in the ordinariness of life.

If you find yourself in these words, you are not alone. This work is not about becoming something else, but about discovering that who you are has always been enough.

How It Unfolds

There is no fixed method or formula for how this work unfolds. When we meet, I listen closely to the person in front of me, to what is being said and what might be moving beneath the words, allowing the meeting to take its shape from what is actually here on all levels.

Sometimes we talk. Sometimes I ask questions, offer a reflection or share a teaching. At other times attention may move towards the body, an emotion, a relationship, a pattern or contradiction that has become visible. Silence has its own place too, as does humour, tenderness and the simple willingness to stay with something without needing to immediately understand or change it.

Inquiry and understanding matter, but they are only part of the picture. Again and again, I am interested in bringing what we are exploring into closer contact with direct experience: What is actually happening here? What do you notice? What happens when we stay with this?

The work changes according to the person and the moment. It can be gentle or direct, spacious or animated, contemplative or deeply human. I don’t know in advance where a meeting needs to go, and I don’t believe I need to.

We listen together.

In Essence

This work is a path of remembrance and discovery, rooted in love and truth, honouring both the human and the Divine, and allowing all that we encounter to be met within the spaciousness of presence. At its heart is this quiet, living ground of Being, in which we meet ourselves, one another and the mystery of existence.

I do not offer myself as an authority or guru, but as a companion in the unfolding. Together we listen deeply, meet honestly, and remain open to what life is revealing.

In love and service ~ Imogen
